Jag undervisar främst i kurser relaterade till spansk grammatik, nybörjarspanska, akademiskt skrivande och fonetik. Jag har erfarenhet av att undervisa på alla nivåer (grundnivå, avancerad nivå och forskarnivå) samt av undervisning inom historisk lingvistik och sociolingvistik.

Jag är en kvantitativ korpuslingvist. Min forskning kretsar främst kring språklig variation och förändring, med särskilt fokus på morfosyntaktisk och semantisk förändring. Jag närmar mig dessa frågor ur ett bruksbaserat (usage-based), kognitivt och konstruktionsgrammatiskt perspektiv. Jag använder huvudsakligen korpuslingvistiska metoder för att förstå uppkomsten och spridningen av språklig förändring samt de kognitiva grunderna för variation och förändring. Jag fokuserar i första hand på fenomen av variation och förändring inom olika varieteter av spanska, men bedriver även forskning om andra språk (engelska, portugisiska, svenska, bland andra). Inom dessa språk täcker mina studier ett brett spektrum av intressen såsom possessiva pronomen, bestämda artiklar, relativsatser och relativa pronomen, modusvariation, konstruktionell reduktion/expansion och syntaktisk längdvariation samt sociala faktorer bakom neurokognitiva rutiner. Jag är särskilt intresserad av att använda statistiska modeller (främst bayesianska) för att analysera språklig variation och förändring. På senare år forskar jag även på hur LLMs (large langauge models) kan vara behjälpliga inom korpuslingvistiska forskningsprojekt.
