Nordic research collaboration in labour law

How can we build a stronger Nordic research environment in labour law? One way is to create opportunities for early-career researchers to meet and exchange experiences across national borders.

Erik Sjödin, Associate Professor and researcher at SOFI, is one of the initiators of a Nordic research course in labour law that brought together 16 PhD students from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

The aim of the course was not only to give the PhD students new knowledge in labour law, but also to build long-term networks and strengthen Nordic research collaboration. By meeting early in their research careers, the participants have opportunities to exchange experiences and develop future collaborations across the Nordic countries.

The initiative is highlighted in Arbeidsliv i Norden.
