Jonas Schmid Wins the Frank Cass Prize for Best Article
"I just won the 2025 Frank Cass Prize for the best young scholar article on 'Democratization'," Jonas Schmid told the SCGG website on Tuesday, adding that it was for his article about electoral autocracies, hybrid regimes, and multiparty autocracies.
The Frank Cass Prizes are awarded annually by Taylor & Francis for articles that most enhance our knowledge and understanding of democratization.
Bio
Jonas Schmid is a postdoctoral researcher on the DEMCOOP project at the Department of Political Science and affiliate of the Stockholm Center on Global Governance, Stockholm University. He joined the department in 2025 after completing his PhD at the University of Oslo.
