Researchers warn against using simplified political lessons from Weimar
"It came as a very pleasant surprise. We had no idea the book had even been nominated," said Ludvig Norman, an associate professor of political science at Stockholm University, who received the news on February 25.
"The prize is a recognition from scholars active in the field — a sign that the book has resonated and is seen as relevant. Hopefully it will bring the volume even more attention and a wider readership,” he added.
The award was presented on March 23 during ISA's annual conference in Columbus, Ohio.
