The Philippines’ ASEAN Chairmanship: Priorities and Milestones
Philippine Ambassador Patrick A. Chuasoto presents the priorities and milestones of the Philippines’ Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2026.
The Philippines is navigating regional and global challenges while pursuing the collective vision of the ASEAN Community 2045: a region that is resilient, innovative, dynamic and people-centred.
In this seminar, H.E. Patrick A. Chuasoto, Ambassador of the Philippines to Sweden, will present the three main priorities of the Philippine Chairmanship, known as the “3Ps”: Peace and Security Anchors, Prosperity Corridors, and People Empowerment. Together, these priorities emphasize the importance of maintaining a rules-based international security and economic order to support peace, stability and development in the region.
Ambassador Chuasoto will also discuss the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, which marks its 50th anniversary in 2026, and its continuing role in promoting peaceful coexistence and friendship among ASEAN Member States and other countries.
