REWHARD coordinates survey and register data on working and living conditions, health and well-being of the Swedish population.

The infrastructure includes research data on topics such as socio-demographics, education, family situation, housing, employment, working conditions, health behaviours, diseases, sickness absence and retirement.

LNU and SLOSH organise their own data collections. IMAS has mainly register data and STODS contains registry data for a large cohort of twins, as well as survey data collected by the Swedish Twin Registry (STR).

Common to all is that there is data with a long-time perspective and for a large number of individuals.

We charge a fee for extracting data held in IMAS, SLOSH and STODS. LNU data is currently disclosed free of charge.

Yes, participants in both SLOSH and LNU are asked questions about the possibility to work from home and how often they do so.

SLOSH includes some questions about informal care, such as caring for elderly or sick relatives, helping to look after grandchildren or a relative with a disability. There are follow-up questions about the time spent on care and whether it is perceived as a burden.

We offer various response methods, e.g. paper questionnaire sent by post, sending an invitation to an electronic mailbox with link to the web survey. We adapt the survey questions and structure to suit people in different life situations. LNU has also experimented with various rewards to increase the number of respondents.

We try to ensure that projects do not overlap, but if they do, we suggest research collaborations.

There is no publicly available list. You can contact us and ask if there is already an ongoing project in the area you intend to study. You can also look at our publication lists to see which studies have already been completed.

LNU's data is currently provided free of charge. SLOSH charges a basic fee for applications and simple disclosures. More extensive data extractions are charged at cost price per hour.

It varies depending on how much data you need for your research project and how busy our statisticians are. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months. It also depends on whether you choose to do the analyses yourself or if our statisticians help you with them.

The cost is based on how many working hours our statisticians need to complete your order as well as an hourly rate. The total cost depends, among other things, on whether you only ask for data or if you also want to order analyses.

Health data is also included in national registers such as the Patient Register. However, we only have primary data from Region Stockholm, but this is still a large study population of approximately 2 million individuals.
