Anne Katrine Holm Pedersen is a doctoral student in history at Stockholm University, now in her second year. In her dissertation, she investigates the relationship between criminality and climate and subsistence stress in Stockholm between 1474 and 1635, drawing on the city's court records. She did her BA and MA at Aalborg University, where she specialized in Scandinavian medieval law and punishment. Her master's thesis examined women's legal position in late medieval Stockholm. She looks forward to taking over the post and working with the Centre for Medieval Studies and its scholars.
