ForskarFredag 2024

This year's ForskarFredag (Researcher's Night) exhibition took place at the AlbaNova University Center, where around 5,000 students, teachers and members of the general public gathered to meet researcher's and take part in activities.

The Climate, Oceans and Environment section put together the exhibit "The hunt for new knowledge about the Arctic", which showcased various instruments from the ARTofMELT and GEOEO 2024 expedition, as well as a very nice short documentary on the latter. Visitors could also enjoy a form of “spa treatment" at the Mini Geospa, where we offered face masks of clay from the North Pole, and some fresh glacial water to wash it off. Other elements of the exhibit included a mail box where visitors could send climate-related questions to researchers, the Erasmus+ GeoVT project showing Earth Science through virtual reality, lots of free profile products and more.

In all it was a successfull event with lots of visitors, curiousity and great questions.
