Nordic Marine Science Meeting in Stockholm
The Swedish Society for Marine Sciences welcomes everyone who is engaged and interested in marine sciences, management and environmental monitoring to this conference on the sea! The meeting focuses on current aspects of research, management and environmental monitoring in marine systems.
This year, we will for the first time since 2010 organise our conference again together with our Norwegian and Finnish colleagues, and hence the name Nordic Marine Science Meeting. This conference is organised together with the Norwegian Association of marine scientists, the Stockholm University Baltic Sea Research Centre, and the Marine Science Network at Stockholm University with financial support from the strategic research areas EcoChange, the Bolin Centre for Climate Research, and the Department of geological sciences at Stockholm University, SMHI, and the Swedish Institute for the marine environment. The purpose of our meeting is to promote interdisciplinary and international collaboration between researchers, public servants, and consultants within the different marine disciplines oceanography, marine geology, marine chemistry, biology, ecology, and related disciplines in the engineering and humanities sciences.
Submitted contributions will be organized within sessions based on the conference program, or standalone if the content is considered outside the scope of the sessions provided. Final program for the conference, additional meeting information and confirmation of participation will be sent out prior to the conference. Depending on the number of registrations, the organizers may need to prioritize and limit the requests for participation on site. Applications and requests from second (MSc) and third (PhD) cycle students, as well as from early career scientists (post docs), will be given priority.
