Bolin Days 2026
The Bolin Days is our annual internal conference for and by our Bolin Centre members. During these days, new climate science results are presented and we meet each other to exchange ideas, share our experiences and find new inspiration. We welcome you to take part in a set of cross-disciplinary sessions, including panel discussions and flash-talks.
This year, we are opening the scientific programme more broadly and would like to give members across the Bolin Centre, at all career stages and from all Research Themes (RTs), the opportunity to propose and present their research. Rather than defining the programme in advance, we would like the submitted contributions to help shape the scientific sessions. We have included a number of tentative themes for inspiration, including wetlands, forests, coasts and oceans, urban environments, the Arctic, climate and agriculture, and IPCC/climate policy. These are not restrictive, if your contribution does not fit any of them, you can select “Other” and suggest a theme.
The submission is intentionally short: just a title and a brief description of the research or topic you would like to present. The title can be tentative. The submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Group (SAG) shortly after the deadline.
Take on the Flash Talk Challenge!
Present your research in 5 minutes, using only the 1 000 most common English words.
More information about the programme will follow as it develops.

Please register if you are planning to attend, and remember to book separately in the registration form if you would like to join the Bolin Days dinner at Fotografiska on 17 November and/or the ECR Network social event on the evening of 18 November.
Please note that seating for the evening events is limited and places are reserved based on registration. If your plans change, we kindly ask you to cancel your booking as early as possible so that the place can be offered to someone else.
We look forward to seeing you in November!
Participation
Bolin Days is an event exclusively for Bolin Centre members. However, due to interest from others, we would like to clarify the conditions for participation.
Volunteers
A limited number of volunteer positions are offered to Master’s students to assist with the organisation of Bolin Days. Volunteers also have the opportunity to attend scientific sessions during the event.
All volunteer positions for Bolin Days 2026 have now been filled, and registration for volunteers is closed.
Groups of Students led by a teacher
Teachers have the option to bring a group of students to specific scientific sessions during Bolin Days. However, the responsibility for this lies with the teacher, and participation will be limited to the scientific talks. Students will not have access to member spaces and activities such as fika, lunches, and dinners.
We appreciate your understanding and support
