Postdoc Interviews: Khyati Malhan

Khyati has been with the OKC for a couple of years now and will be moving to Germany to start a Humboldt Fellowship in the autumn. He works in the field of Milky Way formation and dynamics and uses stellar dynamics to understand the formation and dynamics of our Galaxy, and also to examine the nature of dark matter.

The project will explore our Universe using data from the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) with the Vera Rubin Observatory (set to begin operations in 2023). The project aims to develop advanced analysis methods to mine the huge and complicated dataset that will be generated by this survey for clues to better understand the origin and evolution of the Universe.
