Research project Data-driven solutions in complex care processes (DISAL)

New data-driven solutions have the potential to improve the situation for co-morbid elderly people. In this project we identify, analyze and pilot test such innovative data-driven solutions for elderly by supporting collaboration between care providers.

Data-driven solutions, such as knowledge and decision support, artificial intelligence (AI) and other modern data analyses, have the potential to transform many different aspects of health and social care. These solutions can be used to improve diagnosis, offer treatment recommendations, automate administrative procedures and predict re-enrollment.

However, several of these data-driven solutions are sparsely implemented in practical care. This project identifies, analyzes and pilot tests innovative data-driven services that support collaboration between city and region in health and social care for multi-sick elderly. The services are based on a mapping of problems and processes.

The methodology developed in the project combines legal, ethical and systems analysis and is based on research in these areas. The project enables the region and the city to take advantage of new services to streamline and increase quality in the area, and can contribute to new ways of working in the long term.
