Research group Future Interactions
The Future Interactions group brings together a mix of designers, computer scientists and social scientists. We are interested in the design of future interactive technologies, as well as their social and ethical consequences.

Future Interactions is based at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University, where we conduct research in human–computer interaction (HCI), computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW) interaction design.
We work with social and environmental sustainability, embodied interactions, design ethics, community-led initiatives and human–AI interaction. We study application areas such as health and sports tracking devices, environmental monitoring and sensing in smart cities, nature and farming, and responsible AI interactions for programming.
We conduct qualitative research, including ethnography, research-through-design, critical and speculative design.
We are always glad to discuss new ideas and collaborations, whether you are a researcher, a designer, a public sector professional, or a student. Just get in touch with us!
