Research group Mika Sipponen's group

The group develops lignin-based functional materials for sustainable energy and environmental applications.
Mika Sipponen

Our interest extends to the transformation of other industrial sidestreams to value-added materials following the principles of green chemistry. We also carry out fundamental studies on the formation and structure, as well as chemical and biological functions of renewable nanomaterials.
