Christine Ericsdotter Nordgren Senior lecturer

I'm a senior lecturer in phonetics, and director of the Phonetics Laboratory at the Department of Linguistics.

My academic background includes studies in Linguistics and Italian, and I hold a PhD in Phonetics from Stockholm University. My thesis project was focussed on articulatory-acoustic vowel modelling. After that, I have mainly been interested in sociolinguistics, language learning and speech physiology. I have done teaching and research on voice, speech and pronunciation at universities in the Stockholm area, and I’m a member of the International Phonetic Association and of the Swedish Voice Society and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sprechwissenschaft und Sprecherzieung e.V..

I was director of the Language Learning Resource Centre of the Faculty of Humanities, at the Department of Linguistics, between 2012-2026. It included being responsible for the development of digital infrastructures and learning environments for language and linguistics, practices for internationalisation, and language education resource production.
