Third Language Research and Language Education

This course deals with third-language research and its implications for teaching a third language.

Research on languages learnt after first and second languages, central theories and a selection of empirical studies in the area will be treated, evaluated, and compared. Research on different factors which are considered to be important for third-language acquisition, use and development will be treated, such as age, multilingualism and other contextual factors.
