Towards Emancipation: Feminist Theories and Strategies during 200 Years
The course aims to discuss and problematize classical and modern feminist political writings, their inherent ideas about liberation and change and the strategies deployed in the texts as well as those proposed by the texts.
The course explores how women in different contexts have worked to change and challenge patriarchal structures and how women have theorized the reproduction of patriarchal structures.

The course consists of mandatory seminars.
The course is examined by a) active presence at the mandatory seminars; b) written and oral individual and group assignments; c) an individual written take-home exam.
The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course.
We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course,
your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
