Fundamentals of Information Security

The course is an introductory course that prepares you for later advanced studies in the field of information security and cyber security.

It covers a general conceptual framework for the subject area as well as providing familiarity with terms and concepts relevant to more specialised security courses later on.

Rather than focusing on applied work, the content is characterised more by theoretical studies. This means that the studies concern productive ways of reasoning about security rather than, for example, how to secure specific systems.

Assessment

The course is examined through an on-campus written exam and assignments.
