The course French III, Modern French aims to strengthen students’ written proficiency in French. The focus is on consolidating and further developing grammatical structures as well as expanding vocabulary. The course trains students to produce clear, well-structured, and largely linguistically accurate texts within a range of non-fiction genres.
The course is structured to progressively develop students’ written proficiency in French. The work combines reviews of grammatical structures with practical writing exercises and analysis of written texts. Teaching alternates between lectures, seminars, and exercises, in which students actively practise producing and revising texts within various non-fiction genres.
Throughout the course, particular emphasis is placed on text structure, linguistic accuracy, and precision in vocabulary use. Students work continuously to develop their writing through guidance, joint reviews, and individual work.
