The course comprises several modules that together provide a broad insight into language, literature, and culture. Students analyze cultural and historical phenomena in the Francophone world, develop listening comprehension, and encounter different linguistic varieties. They also deepen their knowledge of contemporary French culture and public debates, while acquiring skills in language structure, vocabulary, linguistics, and the history of the French language.
The literature modules cover both older and modern French literature, with attention to individual authors and the analysis of literary texts from thematic and stylistic perspectives.
The course is divided into ten modules, which together amount to 30 credits.
