SUCCeSS Sponsored International Lignin Conference in Italy

The event was co-chaired by SUCCeSS Board member Joseph Samec. A key highlight was the session Lignin Biosynthesis and Biotechnology, which showcased cutting-edge research on lignification in plants. The session featured leading speakers from the United States, Canada, Taiwan, Japan, and Sweden, reflecting the global nature of research in this area and providing new insights from the forefront of the field.

Professor Edouard Pesquet, also a SUCCeSS Board member, presented new findings on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern lignin chemistry in plant cell walls. His talk highlighted recent advances in understanding how lignin formation is regulated and how these processes influence plant structure and function.

During his presentation, Professor Pesquet also showcased SUCCeSS and its research activities, generating significant interest from the international scientific community. Researchers from several universities worldwide, including the University of Utrecht, expressed interest in learning more about the initiative and its activities.
