On March 19th, a SUCCeSS lunch webinar explored how high through put experiments can accelerate sustainability research. The session highlighted autonomous laboratories, automated and digitalized workflows, and innovative high-content screening methods to better understand chemical effects and support sustainable research.
Arunjaj Chidambaram, Sales Manager for Materials Science at Chemspeed Technologies, Basel, Switzerland, presented on autonomous laboratories and demonstrated how Chemspeed’s automation platforms, combined with data-driven algorithms, are advancing material development. He illustrated this with select customer examples and introduced the upcoming capabilities of Chemspeed platforms at Stockholm University.
Cedric Abele and Amira Raquel Peréz Liñán, PhD students at the Department of Environmental Studies, Stockholm University, discussed New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) that deliver faster, more cost-effective ecotoxicological data, aiming to close knowledge gaps, improve risk assessments, and support the creation of safer chemical products.
