László Szerencsés interviewed about Turkey-Hungary relations
The Turkey recap podcast on 10 December 2025 featured SUITS postdoc László Szerencsés with editor Diego Cupolo.
The conversation was sparked by the meeting of Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán and the Turkish Pres. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul on 8 December. They discussed the foundations of bilateral ties, from pragmatic energy connectivity to rhetoric on shared Turkic heritage. Turkey and Hungary’s role in both NATO and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), as well as future prospects for bilateral cooperation in view of Hungary's 2026 elections were also considered.
