How to apply as an exchange student

Once your home university has completed the nomination in Mobility Online the international coordinator will send you our guide for nominated students with further instructions for the application. Please note that the application will need to be completed via our system Mobility Online. Also please feel free to contact us if you have technical issues or questions.

Incoming exchange students are required to have at least level B2 English proficiency  according to the:

Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This can be certified by including a language certificate in the application or by including a letter from the home university to certify that the student has at least level B2 English proficiency.

For incoming exchange students that would like to study courses with Swedish as the language of instruction the requirement is also at least level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The application needs to be complete and handed in via Mobility Online according to deadline. As soon as the nomination has been approved you will be contacted by our international coordinator with further instructions for the application.

• Application deadline for the autumn semester: April 15th.
• Application deadline for the spring semester: October 1st.

The application should include:

• The application form - to be filled in via Mobility Online (see headlines personal information and application information).
• Language Certificate or a letter from the home university to certify that the student has at least level B2 English proficiency – to be uploaded.
• Official Transcript or Records in English – to be uploaded.
• Letter of interest (to be uploaded under the headline department specific documentation)
• Course selection – please see available courses with English as the language of instruction offered by the Department of Child and Youth Studies and browse for the Department of Child and Youth Studies in Mobility Online to find these courses.

The application will be processed and you will be contacted if anything needs to be clarified or if there needs to be changes in the course selection. If the application is approved you will receive a letter of acceptance.

Eligible students that have applied in time will be contacted by the Housing Office through email with information on how to apply for housing.

As a part of the Erasmus Without Papers policy, Erasmus students are required to prepare an Online Learning Agreement (OLA) instead of the old, paper one. 

Please check with your home university that they are connected to Erasmus Without Papers and which digital tool they use in order to create the Online Learning Agreements. 

The deadline to submit the OLA (signed by the student and the home university) is August 15th for the Autumn semester and December 1st for the Spring semester.
