Before you arrive on your visit to the Oskar Klein Centre there are several practical matters that need to be dealt with. If you are traveling from some countries you need to apply for a permit, please check the visa regulations well in advance.

Where to stay in Stockholm

Both Stockholm Unversity and The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) have access to short term accomodation for visiting researchers with Matsällskapet in Bergshamra. These apartments are located relatively near campus. For Stockholm University visitors the host department must book and pay for these apartments.  For KTH visitors the apartments must be booked through KTH relocation services.

The Elite Hotel Arcadia is the closest hotel to AlbaNova.

Getting Around

Stockholm has an extensive public transportation system. If you will need to ride the bus, tunnelbana (subway), or commuter trains then buy an access card from an attendant at the station which you can load with money (reskassa). Standard adult fare with an access card is 30 kr per trip which expires in 75 minutes. If you need a single ticket quickly you can always buy this from the attendant at the station entrance, although this is always the most expensive option. However, there is no option to buy tickets on buses.
